[ARCHIVED] Route 220 South at Winter Drive Closed

UPDATE: As of 1:30 PM, Route 220 Southbound has reopened at Winter Drive.

(August 6, 2025, 10:00 AM) Roanoke County Police reports that Route 220 (Franklin Road ) South at Winter Drive is shut down due to power lines being down across the roadway. There is no timetable for when the southbound lanes will open, however Franklin Road northbound currently has one lane open. VDOT has been notified, and another press release will be sent once the roadway reopens.
