Prescription Drug Take-Back Day - Saturday, October 26

RX Takeback header

Prescription Drug Take-Back collection will be available on Saturday, October 26, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at convenient parking lot locations in Roanoke County, Botetourt County, Franklin County, Salem and Vinton. These events, sponsored by the Western Virginia Water Authority, Roanoke Area Youth Substance Abuse Coalition, area law enforcement officers and the Drug Enforcement Administration provide a free, secure place to dispose of unwanted medications and helps protect our waterways, prevent drug abuse and makes our communities safer.

Roanoke County Locations

Lewis Gale Standalone ER (Bonsack) 1423 West Ruritan Road
Lewis Gale Standalone ER (Cave Spring) 2706 Ogden Road
Kroger: 3971 Brambleton Avenue

Town of Vinton Location

The Town of Vinton is hosting a multifaceted services event on Saturday, October 26, 2024 beginning at 10 AM at the Vinton War Memorial. The event includes:

Large-scale Shred Event (10 AM – 1 PM)
Flu Vaccine Clinic (10 AM – 2 PM)
Drug-Take-Back (10 AM – 2 PM)
