[ARCHIVED] McAfee Knob Parking Lot Closed, Use Shuttle Service or Alternate Parking

Take The Shuttle to McAfee Knob Spotlight

The parking lot at the McAfee Knob Trailhead is closed for pedestrian bridge construction. The McAfee Knob Trailhead Shuttle runs from points in Downtown Salem, Salem's Longwood Park, the Interstate 81 Exit 140 Park and Ride, and the Orange Market Park and Ride to lot to the McAfee Knob Trailhead. Reservations are encouraged but walk-up service is also available.

REMINDER: Towing is actively enforced along Route 311 and Route 864 (Old Catawba Road) for road safety. Limited parking may be available on Old Catawba Road (Route 864), but drivers should pay close attention and only park where designated by signs as towing will be enforced along this route as well.

Alternative Parking is available at the Catawba Sustainability Center and along some shoulders on Route 864 (Old Catawba Road). Drivers should pay close attention and only park where designated by signs.
