[ARCHIVED] Catawba Valley Drive Single Vehicle Crash

Crash on Catawba Valley Dr

On 12/05/18, Roanoke County Police Officers were dispatched to Catawba Valley Drive at Keffer Road in reference to a crash involving a tractor trailer. The vehicle was traveling southbound on Catawba Valley Drive when it ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a telephone pole and then a tree before coming to rest. The driver, Jeffery Sutherlin of Check, Virginia was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
