[ARCHIVED] Changes Coming to Real Estate Reassessment Notices

(Roanoke County, VA) November 12, 2014 -- The Virginia General Assembly has passed a bill that requires additional information to be included on the Annual General Reassessment Notice for all real property.

The notices for real estate reassessment will now include information from prior years for comparison, along with a percentage change in the assessment, if any. The Real Estate Valuation Office has posted examples of the changes to the assessments that will be sent out in January 2015 for the 2015 tax year.

Property owners with questions about these changes to the reassessment notice are asked to call the Roanoke County Real Estate Valuation Office at 540-772-2035 ext. 0.
