[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed For Stream Monitoring

SWM Stream Monitoring

SEEKING CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FOR STREAM MONITORING

Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Do you love clean streams? Do you like to get your feet wet and your hands dirty? If you answered YES to any of these questions, please volunteer to participate in Roanoke County’s new Citizens Stream Monitoring Program. You will learn to collect meaningful water quality information to help identify water pollution problems. The County will share information collected by volunteers with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality to assist this agency in filling in data gaps where current stream monitoring efforts have not yet been initiated or where sampling data is limited.
