[ARCHIVED] Death Investigation

(July 16, 2025) On July 7, at 5:43 p.m., Roanoke County Officers were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive male subject down an embankment in the 5800 block of Peaceful Drive in Roanoke County (Glenvar area). The male, identified as Garon Bowles, 42, of Franklin County, was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased. Next of kin has been notified.

The preliminary investigation shows that Bowles was likely struck by a vehicle. There is no danger to the public and this case remains an active investigation.
