[ARCHIVED] March 13: Route 419 Safety and Pedestrian Improvements Community Meeting

Roanoke County is holding a community meeting to review funded safety and pedestrian improvements to be constructed on Route 419/Electric Road between the Grandin Road Extension and Brambleton Avenue intersections. The meeting will be held on March 13, 2025, at Oak Grove Elementary School’s cafeteria, 5005 Grandin Road Extension, Roanoke, VA 24018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as an open house-style meeting where attendees can come and go as they please. There will be no presentation.

Proposed improvements include: 

    Sidewalk construction between Grandin Road Extension and Glen Heather Drive. 

    Restricted Crossing U-Turns at Glen Heather Drive and Stoneybrook Drive.

    Pedestrian signals and crosswalks at Route 419/Postal Drive and Route 419/Brambleton Avenue.
