[ARCHIVED] Community Meeting for West Main Street Road Safety Improvements

(Roanoke County, VA – February 27, 2024) Roanoke County is hosting a community meeting for the West Main Street (Route 11/Route 460) at Dow Hollow Road Safety Improvements project on Wednesday, February 28, between 5-7 p.m. at the Glenvar Library, 3917 Daugherty Road, Salem, VA 24153.

The meeting will be open house-style where attendees can come and go as they please. At this meeting, attendees can review and comment on a proposed design concept for the intersection of West Main Street and Dow Hollow Road near Interstate 81 Exit 132 (Dixie Caverns). This proposed concept may be developed into a funding application for SMART SCALE Round 6 and other transportation funding programs. The inclement weather date is Wednesday, March 6, at the same time and location.

For those unable to attend the meeting, exhibits and an online survey will be posted to the project webpage www.vaprojectpipeline.org/studies/salem/sa-23-10.asp after the meeting. The survey will be open until March 13. Paper copies are available upon request.
