[ARCHIVED] Community Meeting 2/15: Starkey Road/Ogden Road Streetscape Improvements

On Thursday, February 15th, Roanoke County is hosting a second community meeting to receive input on proposed transportation and streetscape improvement concepts for Starkey Road between Route 419 and Ogden Road, and for Ogden Road from the railroad bridge to Route 419.

The meeting will be held in the Third Floor Training Room of the Roanoke County Administration Center, 5204 Bernard Drive, Roanoke, VA 24018, and will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This will be an open house-style meeting where attendees can come and go as they please. If you cannot attend the meeting, the proposed improvements will be posted on the study webpage after the community meeting. An online survey will be open until Friday, March 15th.

The proposed improvement concepts were developed by consultants with input from Roanoke County, City of Roanoke, and VDOT staff following the initial community meeting and survey in October 2023. A total of 89 surveys were completed and the surveys indicated that bicycle and pedestrian accommodations are desired along Starkey Road and Ogden Road.
