Thanksgiving 2022 Spotlight

Roanoke County Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

Roanoke County Offices will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25, 2022 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. See more information below about changes to services and facility schedules.

Trash Collection

There will be no trash collection Thursday, Nov. 24 or Friday, Nov. 25. Trash Collection for the week of Thanksgiving will be as follows:

Monday & Tuesday routes will be collected Monday, Nov 21.
Wednesday routes will be collected Tuesday, Nov 22.
Thursday routes will be collected Wednesday, Nov 23.
Please place your containers to the street on the listed day and leave until emptied.

Libraries

Roanoke County Public Libraries will close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.

Parks, Recreation & Tourism Facilities

Wednesday, Nov. 23 - Green Ridge Recreation Center - Early Closure 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Thursday, Nov. 24 - All Recreation Facilities Closed

Friday, Nov. 25

Explore Park Visitor Center - Open 11 AM - 10:15 PM
Green Ridge Recreation Center - Open 5:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Public Service Center – Closed
Brambleton Recreation Center – Closed

Clerk of Circuit Court’s Office

The Clerk of Circuit Court’s Office will close at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.

CORTRAN - No services available Thursday, Nov, 24, or Friday, Nov. 25.
