[ARCHIVED] Community Meetings (10/19 & 10/20): West Roanoke River Greenway Feasibility Study

Roanoke County is conducting a Feasibility Study for the Roanoke River Greenway between Green Hill Park and Montgomery County. In October 2022, Roanoke County will host two community meetings in the Glenvar community:

The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Fort Lewis Baptist Church, 4215 West Main Street Salem, VA 24153.

The second meeting will be held on Thursday, October 20th, 2022, from 4:00 p.m.-6:00pm at the Spring Hollow Water Treatment Plant, 6200 West Main Street Salem, VA 24153.

The purpose of these community meetings is for Roanoke County staff to gain local knowledge about the study corridor and learn about the community’s preferences for this section of the proposed Roanoke River Greenway. The meetings will be identical so you do not need to attend both. The format will be open house-style so attendees can come and go as they please.

A second round of community meetings will be held in spring 2023.
