[ARCHIVED] Single Vehicle Crash on Bent Mountain Rd

On March 10, 2019 at approximately 1910 hours, police responded to the 8100 block of Bent Mountain Rd. for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers found the victim pinned underneath a 1964 Volkswagon Beetle that had overturned. The victim was declared dead at the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was heading southbound on Bent Mountain Rd. and lost control. The vehicle crossed the centerline, opposing lane of travel, and left the roadway, overturning in a ditch. The victim was partially ejected and pinned under the vehicle. Next of kin has been notified. All lanes of travel have been opened as of 2300 hours. Victim was not wearing a seatbelt. Speed was a factor in this crash.
