[ARCHIVED] Accidental Shooting on Elm View Rd

Just after noon on Saturday August 5, 2017 a 911 call was received in reference to a male victim stating he was shot in the foot in the 4300 block of Elm View Road. Upon arrival of the Roanoke County Police a male was located with a gunshot wound to the foot. Initial information was provided that the subject had been shot by another individual, but it was later determined through the course of the investigation that the subject in fact shot himself.

The male subject was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

This case is still under investigation and charges are pending. Anyone with information in reference to this case is asked to call the non-emergency number (540) 562-3265.
