[ARCHIVED] Garbage Collection Update - February 16, 2016 - 4:00 PM

Roanoke County Solid Waste crews collected portions of some Monday routes. Collection was dependent upon the individual road conditions and/or the presence of downed trees and power lines. Since we were unable to begin collection until after 12 p.m., time constraints also limited the amount of routes that we were able to service.

Those partial routes will be serviced on Wednesday, February 17. If we could not safely collect your Monday route street today due to road conditions, we will continue checking back through the week until road conditions allow for service.

If Tuesday route residents can safely place their containers to the street, please do so and we will service those containers as soon as safely possible.
