[ARCHIVED] Virginia Cooperative Extension Service Celebrates 100 years at South County Library

The Virginia Cooperative Extension Service turns 100 this month. To help celebrate, there will be a "Veggie Tales!" presentation and a birthday bash, Cooperative Extension Service style, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 at South County.

At this event, Master Food volunteers will teach attendees how to decode a colorful plate for great eating; Master Gardeners will discuss vegetable growing basics; the 4-H Club will provide activities for kids on the patio, weather permitting; and everyone can celebrate 100 great years with a piece of birthday cake at the end of the program.
