Children's Services Act (CSA)

Function

The Children's Services Act for At Risk Youth and Families (CSA) is a 1993 Virginia law that provides for the pooling of eight specific funding streams used to purchase services for high risk youth and their families.

The purpose of this act is to provide high quality, child centered, family focused, cost effective, community based services to high risk youth and their families. Our local office serves Roanoke County and the City of Salem.

Funds for CSA services are managed at the local level by interagency teams specifically appointed for each locality.

The Roanoke County CPMT meets the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM, at the Roanoke County Department of Social Services located at 220 E. Main Street in Salem.
